The Best Gear for St. Patrick’s Day

One of the most fun holidays of the year is St. Patrick’s Day. It’s also overlooked the most often, as it’s not necessarily the most popular holiday, and others like Christmas and Thanksgiving tend to draw all the attention. Those that are wanting to make their St. Patrick’s Day as fun as possible are going to want to make sure that they have the right tech gear and other gadgets so that they can make the most of this year’s March 17th.

From the right apps to the right camera to the right laptop device, there are all sorts of things that can help someone have a wonderful St. Patty’s Day. Not all of the devices have to be green, but they will still be able to help you with anything that you may encounter during the festivities of the day. From the right camera to capture the different happenings of the day, to an app that can make sure everyone gets home safely, it’s important to have all the right tools to make sure that everyone has a great St. Patrick’s Day.

Top Tech Gear for St. Patrick’s Day

The Uber App

It’s no secret that St. Patrick’s Day is one of the biggest holidays when it comes to drinking. Whether at a parade or the local Irish pub on the corner, drinking on St. Patrick’s Day is one of many people’s favorite parts of the holiday. That’s why it’s so important to make sure that you and your friends stay safe on the boulevard.

The Uber app is one of the best ways to prevent drinking and driving. Those that are out partying and having a good time can opt to take an Uber home rather than risk driving while they are intoxicated, which could lead them getting a DUI or even lead to their arrest. They could even hurt someone or themselves if they got into an accident. That’s why the Uber app is one of the best tech things to have during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

Canon Rebel T5i

Canon Rebel T5i is one of the best ways to capture moments that take place. Many people are reluctant to invest into a good DSLR camera, particularly with all of the great cameras within iPhones these days. The truth is that most smartphones, even if they have a good camera (with dual-camera optical zoom and all that jazz) don’t have the same quality sensor as some of the top DSLR cameras.

When hanging out with your friends this St. Patrick’s Day, it could pay to have a high-quality DSLR camera that can capture moments. A great bundle for the Rebel T5i is available on Amazon.

A Green Hammock

Contrary to popular belief, not gadgets need be electronic. One of the best ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is with a hammock. It needs to be green, of course, to properly celebrate the holiday. But those who are looking to make the most of their March 17th may find themselves tired towards the end of the day. What better way to relax than with a new green hammock?

KAYAK App

For those that are wanting to travel this spring, the KAYAK app is the way to go. It helps people find the cheapest flights by connecting them on connecting flights that help get them the cheapest overall trip package possible. The app also offers great deals on hotels and rental cars, among other things. A lot of people who are wanting to travel have utilized the KAYAK app to help them get to their destination.

This St. Patrick’s Day is bound to be one to remember. Remember to get some of these gadgets and apps in order to make the most of your day!

Between broadcast channels, cable networks and online streaming services, there are plenty of places to find great new TV shows in 2017. Some shows debuting now are generating plenty of buzz in the entertainment industry.

Emerald City

NBC has tapped the visual genius of Tarsem Signh Dhandwar, director of The Cell and The Fall, for their new epic series. Based off the popular Wizard of Oz books, the new series takes the story in a darker and grittier direction. The series has so far gotten good reviews, though it is still only part way through its first season.

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events

Neil Patrick Harris stars as Count Olaf in this series based on the young adult novels by Daniel Handler. Produced by Netflix, and streaming exclusively on the site, the whole season was published at once as Netflix prefers to do. It has received great reviews so far, and critics praise the series for staying true to the source material.

Riverdale

Based on the long-running comic series Archie, this new show on the CW gives a modern spin to the ongoing tales of the teens of Riverdale. Taking a slightly darker tone than the comics did, the series will explore the lives of classic characters like Betty, Veronica, and Jughead. The show is also produced by Greg Berlanti, the producer behind other CW hits like The Arrow and Flash.

Powerless

DC Comics has several superhero TV shows on the air, such as Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Powerless sidesteps the standard hero show by telling the stories of the average bystanders trying to live their lives surrounded by epic battles of good and evil. The show focuses on a team of product developers at Wayne Industries trying to get by in a world of super powers.

Legion

Brought to FX from Marvel Studios, Legion follows the story of David Haller, a young man haunted by his mental illnesses. But what he thinks are voices in his head might simply be a manifestation of budding powers. The series draws from the back catalogue of the X-Men comics, and promises to offer a trippy new view of modern mutants.

The Good Fight

This new series spins off of acclaimed series The Good Fight, which wrapped its final season last year. Following the events of that show, the Good Fight continues with the legal career of Christine Berlanski’s character Diane Lockhart as she moves to a new law firm in Chicago. Fans of The Good Wife will enjoy this continuing story available through CBS All Access, the network’s new all-streaming service.

Feud: Bette and Joan

This new series, brought to us by American Horror Story’s Ryan Murphy, will be another anthology series changing from, season to season. The series will focus on the great feuds of history, starting with the conflict between Hollywood legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. The first season stars Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon as the stars of the cult film What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?.

Marvel’s Iron Fist

Iron Fist is the next Marvel Studios show brought to us by Netflix. Following in the same vein as the popular Jessica Jones and Daredevil, Iron Fist will introduce audiences to Danny Rand, a young man trained in martial arts seeking to reclaim his family fortune. The show will also lead up to Marvel’s The Defenders, an ensemble show with all the Marvel heroes currently on Netflix, bringing together Jessica Jones, Daredevil’s Matt Murdoch, and Luke Cage along with Iron Fist.

With all the new shows coming out it can be tough to keep up with all the TV American audiences have available. Taking the time to preview new shows will help watchers focus on the kinds of genres and stories they prefer.

GRAMMYs Artists to Listen to on Spotify

The biggest night in the music industry just happened on February 12th on CBS! The biggest names in the industry from Beyonce to Adele performed! Who could forget Adele’s tribute to George Michael! If you are going through Grammy withdrawal, listening to these artists on Spotify will cure you!

The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers are a new band to hit the music scene this year! They are an American DJ Duo known for Electronic Dance Music. During this year’s GRAMMYs, they were nominated for Best New Artist, and won the award for Best Dance Recording for their song, “Don’t Let Me Down”. On Spotify, you can listen not only to “Don’t Let Me Down”, but their other songs such as “Paris” and “Closer”. “Closer” has been on the Billboard charts for 27 weeks and peaked at #1. “Don’t Let Me Down” has been on the Billboard charts for 51 weeks and peaked at #3. Maybe since they won the Grammy for that song, it will reach #1!

Beyonce

Who doesn’t love Queen B! She rocked the GRAMMY stage performing “Sandcastles” and “Love Drought” from her album Lemonade, all while pregnant with twins! There’s nothing Beyonce can’t do! This year, she was nominated for any outstanding 9 awards! However, she only won the GRAMMYs for Best Music Video for “Formation”, and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade. Adele who won the award for Album of the Year even gave a nod to Beyonce saying she truly deserved this award and showed a side of herself we have never seen before with her album Lemonade. Honestly, the competition for this category was close this year between Adele, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber (Purpose). No matter what, Beyonce will always be on top!

Adele

With Adele winning BIG this year, you can’t have a GRAMMYs playlist without her! Adele made her return to the music industry this year with the release of her new album, 25. She was nominated for 5 GRAMMYs and won them all! They were for, Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Adele is truly a musical inspiration up there with Beyonce. During the GRAMMYs she performed “Hello”, and the George Michael tribute which she restarted mid-song so she could do him justice. On Spotify, you can listen her albums 19, 21, and 25.

George Michael and Prince

This year, the music industry lost two musical icons, George Michael and Prince. Each artist made their own impact in music no one will forget. George Michael is best known for the song, “Wake Me Up Before You Go- Go”. Prince is known as one of the best-selling artists of all-time, and is know for the film, Purple Rain. During this year’s GRAMMYs, Adele performed the tribute for George Michael, and Bruno Mars performed the tribute to Prince. You can listen to George Michael’s works over the years on Spotify, and Prince’s is soon to return to the music streaming service.

Panic! At The Disco

They may not have won the GRAMMY for Best Rock Album, but Panic! At The Disco deserves the mention. This year they came out with their new album, Death Of A Bachelor. This is probably their best album since their first album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out! With Brendon Urie’s INSANE vocals in their most recent album, it’s definitely a must listen! This Rock Band also created their own version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” for the Suicide Squad movie!

If these artists cure your GRAMMY withdrawal, nothing will! If you would like a variety of GRAMMY music on Spotify, try listening to the 59th GRAMMYs playlists available! If you didn’t catch the GRAMMYs, made sure to watch it online on the CBS website or clips on YouTube!
